I have a request that's probably a bit dumb, but here goes. I was wondering if those that post pictures of their chams could identify the species maybe in the title, or just with the photo. I want to learn to identify at least the more common species, but sometimes if the pic is of a juvenile, baby, or female I have some difficulty. I hate asking all the time 'cause I feel like a dumbass.

I hear you Lisa! I cant equate species names to common names except where its obvious ie Mellers. & Jacksons etc Some of them, I wouldnt have the foggiest what they are! :)

It's not a dumb request at all. In fact, it's a great request. It would be even better if people actually took the time to write the scientific names correctly. It's amazing to see people who keep even parsonii and continue to misspell both the common names and scientific names-- as if there weren't enough reputable resources out there with correct nomenclature to use as a reference.

Cheers,
