Pet safe pesticide?

Hello all,

My recent trouble is some mite looking things that have completely conquered my plants on my lanai. They've got the plants covered, and I suspect there are some pests on the plants in the indoor enclosures my chameleons are in as well. Is there a pet safe pesticide I can use to kill off the like, 20,000 little tiny black and green aphid/mite looking things that have swarmed my plants?

I rarely see my chams eat the plants they live in, except my veileds gnaw at them every now and then. I need a fix to this problem relatively soon =/. The pesticide would need to be safe for ingestion.

I'm told that a mixture of dishsoap/water and maybe some vegetable oil will kill em off really easy as a spray on. Will that be harmful to the chams at all? I'd keep the chams away from their plants for a few hours after spraying

I know in natural gardening ladybugs are awesome for amphids..... But don't know if ladybugs are safe for Chams.

Ladybugs taste bad...if a cham samples one it probably won't try another. You'll need to check to see if ladybugs are legal in HI...a plant nursery could probably tell you. There are various plant "soaps" that can get rid of a lot of insect pests without actual toxins...the soap annoys and discourages them but doesn't really kill.
