perlite/water mix ratio in incubator

My nosey be is gravid and I will be using a incubator. I will be using perilite for the substrate.

What would be the perilite to water ratio?

I just picked up a exo terra incubator hopefully I have no problems with it.

I just picked up a exo terra incubator hopefully I have no problems with it.

Add as much water as the perlite will hold and just a little more.

Here's what I do:
Fill colander with perlite. (the pure white stuff)
Rinse fully under sink.
Fill egg box several inches full of pre-soaked perlite.
Add water to the box until you have 1/4" to 1/2" standing water at bottom.
Top off water as needed when it gets low from evaporation.

It doesn't get any easier.

If your tap water is high in chlorine, you might let the water sit for a week or more for the chlorine to evaporate out before using it. I've personally never had a problem with using plain old tap water.
