perch setup questions.

I just got a new setup for my female veiled. It is 24x24x48, I am using natural perches up in the top of the cage near the basking lamp and was wondering if it is ok to sort of wedge them against the metal screening? I can't figure any other ways to place them so high, and just don't want to damage the screen. Thanks for any suggestions

You could possibly cut the branches a little shorter then the inside dimensions. Secure a very thin piece of wood or metal to the ends of the branch (like a T on each end). Then secure the "T" with wire ties through the screen.

You can buy skinny wire ties that should fit fine through the screen. I wouldn't just wedge the branches because you run a risk of them falling while the cham is on it and the cham could get hurt.
