PC Gurus here? Need some help.

I just got a Insignia® - 5.0MP High-Definition Digital Camcorder with 3" Swivel LCD Screen. I was wondering if there is anyway I could hook this to my PC running XP and use it as a webcam to chat with others or anyway to hook it up to my PC and leave it running recording so I can view it from work while it's at home running on my home pc acting as a security camera?

I want to connect this in the chams room so it's running in the day while I'm gone so when I'm at work I can see them. Any possible way?

obviously by my answer im not a genius, but heres what ive done.

I went on msn with a camera (my cam works as a webcam) and used it as a webcam while in a conversation with myself. so if this works youll need 2 accounts on msn.

you need to login on 1 at your house, and 1 at work, then ask to go on webcam with yourself, and Ta Da, im a genius

But is your cam a actual webcam or a digital camcorder? Also I don't want it to chat with people I want it to be a live streaming camera like you would see on ustream and etc.

Anyone know how to use the Insignia HD camcorder to live stream on Ustream?
