Paschel won't drink

I have been an owner of our veiled cham for a couple of months. We changed his diet from small crickets to large ones. All of a sudden one of his eyes got all yucky and wrinkly, he stopped eating and won't drink out of his water bottle. When we spray his cage he lays up against the side and then starts drinking the water we spray in. We give him as much as he wants, then noticed this morning that he is shedding on his whole body. Is this a normal process for them. I'm worried about him.

Sorry to hear about your problem, sadly i don't know too much about shedding because I just got my first chameleon yesterday and I haven't experienced that yet. The only problem I have right now is him not eating but that's normal for the first few days. What I do know is that they do tend to act a little differently when they're shedding. Just make sure you keep misting him and you keep him hydrated. Don't worry, he will eat just have some patience. You should try hand feeding him. Maybe that'll work.

could have something to do with shed/
have u seen him shed before?
mine stops eating and becomes an amateur contortionist when he sheds.

can u post a couple pics?

I agree with Carol. If he was eating smaller criickets just carry on.
Welcome to the forum.:)

There could be some skin getting ready to shed near the eye as well. This could cause your cham to rub against things to free the shedding skin. Pics would help, and so would the form Carol posted! It can really help avoid some of our questions that may not need to be asked, and get a better response to your issue. Welcome to the forums! Hope your little one gets better soon! ;)
