What's the appeal of parsonii that makes them cost thousands of dollars? Just rarity?

They are HUGE!! Almost 3-4 feet long. Plus they are really rare in the united states.

Well, they must be pretty rare, because, except for the 2 curtis is offering, I haven't found a single one in the U.S. for sale right now. I missed them early in the fall, when several were offering captive born. We weren't ready to purchase at that time. From what I understand their export is very strictly controlled. And, they are not the easiest species to successfully breed.

essentially if the seller can't get that much, the price will go down. However, due to their scarcity, they will get pretty close.
