Parsons chameleons

So I have some questions about Parsons. I remember reading that they are banned from being exported which is why they are so hard to acquire.

However, how and where do you get one at all?

How much do they generally cost?

Are they hard to care for compared to most other chameleons?

faunaclassifieds.com

they are usually around 2500 give ot take a few hundred..large yellow lip males for about 3500..

not for begginners tho!! :D

Basically what the above poster stated.

You can sometimes find them in the CF classifieds..., on rare occasion.

They are able to be acquired here in the United States, but they are somewhat difficult to come by. You usually find them when someone is thinning their collection etc.

As for pricing that is pretty dead on, they can be anywhere withing the 2-3 thousand dollar range, if you find for cheaper, go you!

They definitely aren't for beginners, it takes a ton of work, I have read from members that actually keep them that they cost more after you actually buy them. Jann a member that owns a Parsonii male (Padre) actually added onto her home just to accommodate her Parson's Chameleons. They are an amazing species, but takes a ton more work, and you want to know how to successfully keep different species, before you even consider keeping a Parson's Chameleon.

couldnt have been said better, and yes jann did lots of work for her lil padre..they are a full time animal, like a toy dog (vet bills, huge feeders, lots and lots of water, perfect temps, blh blah blah).. RAVE, did you see the parsons in fauna, it was posted like a month ago or so 1800!! so cheap for such a good lookin one, the guy was moving or somthing..

No you find them mostly when someone imports them from europe

If you have good luck you can buy one or $1500 to $2000

it does not cost more to keep a parsonii than to buy it unless you have to get the supplies, cages etc just like any cham.
Jann did not add on to her house, she was creative and reworked half of her enclosed rear porch and made a wonderful home for padre.

[Sorry i just wanted to add what i know
