I am not minimalizing the OP's questions at all, and hope we can help with the great translation skills here. But, I have to say when the first message topic came up I had a bizarre mental image of a Parsoni cursing so violently it was shaking its tree, lashing its tail, and hurling saliva at me!

I seen this yesterday before anyone replied and I was going to tell him to wash it's mouth out with soap because I thought the same thing from the thread title. Then I realized he didn't speak English and I felt like an a-hole and went in with my day...

This could be result of being in a confined space. Parson's need space and can shoot their tongues fairly far. If not able to fully extend it while feeding, due to small confines that muscle could degrades and use of it stop.
