Hello All,

I'm Expecting a shipment of 6 Parsons, if your intrested please PM me, First Come First Serve!

Thanks Kayla :)

Yes this is my shipment, we have not yet recieved them, I'm taking preorders for anyone who is intrested.

Sometimes this forum is better than watching reality TV. (not that I actually watch TV at all, honestly)

You should post some pics of the Parsonii when you have the shipment lined up.

I don't understand with all the questions about the Parsons... if they're in the states already... why do people ask anyway????

I'm going to send you a PM now.

They are not in the states (yet?) and a consumer has every right to know where an animal comes from, its parentage, import status and all the other info that a good breeder would have. Would you want to spend $2500 on an animal you know nothing about or one that had a history? Common sense. The entire thinking pattern of "just don't ask or worry about it" is what has been destroying this hobby. If you act in secret, it makes things secret. If you act shady, something is probably shady.

Here, I'll spell it out. These posts are from January about C. parsonii:

Also is this a difficult species to keep?! What would this Chameleon differ say from a Veiled or a Meller?!

Yeah I've read a little bit on them, ... I think in about 3 or 4 years that'll be well worth it. I would need to be 100% confident on caring for one before I would get one.

Do you have any good websites that I could check out about Parsons?!

the proce makes me a little reluctant on getting one..I wouldent get one anytime soon, but most definatley in the future I would! Once I learn more about them of course!

And now, 3 months later, this individual has decided to go from completely ignorant about this species to importing a shipment of them to try to sell. Extremely irresponsible, in my opinion. Based on this person's posting history, I have serious doubts about the original poster's ability to care for multiple parsonii while trying to sell them. These aren't like Veileds, Senegals, Carpets, or Meller's that she has kept before. For one thing, they require a hell of a lot of water and setups equipped to handle that drainage.

KShook,

The importation of C. parsonii is an extremely controversial action. A quick search of this forum will find numerous heated discussions about the legality and morality of these shipments and even purchasing animals from these shipments. As a result, every time one of these shipments is brought into the country, a considerable amount of attention is focused onto this debate and the legality of the situation is drawn into question, right or wrong. This is particularly true when they are brought in by people who are not capable of caring for them correctly as it makes the reptile hobby and chameleon hobby look irresponsible and reckless. While up to this point, the US FWS has considered these shipments and the paperwork associated with these animals as legal, that is not to say that with time and increased examination of the situation that this could not reverse. As a result, caution and care is needed to make sure that these shipments are brought in responsibly. Your decision to bring in a group of these animals is reckless and irresponsible, in my opinion. Not only do I feel you are endangering the animals themselves by not having the knowledge or experience available to care for them properly, but in doing so, you are potentially endangering capable, experienced individuals from bringing in parsonii in the future. I understand you think it would be cool to have a parsonii but that their price is prohibitive. I understand that by bringing in a group and selling six that you not only get a better price on each, but can pay for your own. While I can understand the draw to do this, there are larger issues that you are not considering.

Thanks Chris, someone needed to say that to her! You did it a lot better that I could. I would have posted a rely to her but I have never owned a parsonii so didn't feel qualified to discuss parsonii care, but her veiled care seems pretty questionable to me. To jump to a parsonii, just defies reason.

First and for most who are you to judge me about my knowledge about the Parsonii/Chameleons...You sound very self centered about this subject. Although everything you said was 100% accurate. You shouldnt pass judgement on anyone that you dont know...based on a silly post. You were right 3 months ago I did post questions about the Parsonii in search of support of the post in the Chameleon Forum Community. If I do get a shipment of the Parsonii Cham it will be the legal and the correct way, why shouldnt I be able to distribute them to other chameleon hobbyist such as yourself?!

I have done very extensive research on the Parsonii Chameleon, and feel very confident that I will be able to care for them properly. What your insinuating is that if you've never had a Specific Species of Chameleon is that you shouldnt obtain one because you dont have the knowledge to care for one, Although we know that this is the most Difficult Species to care for we feel very confident and up for the challege. As far as the equipment go's you dont know what we have and it is not your place to comment on this subject. So what your trying to say is that if you've never had a Specific Species you should'nt obtain one. If that was the case..we would all still have the Senegal Chameleons...whats the sense in being in a Hobby that you cant progress in and be challenged and learn new things...We do know that the Parsonii is a Rare Species, if you feel that strongly abut the subject you should be against all Parsonii Owners because other wise...How would you have gotten yours?!

Do to the negative response to my post I've decided not to go further with my shipment of the Parsonii Cham, althought we were in the process of doing it in the most Responsible way possible.

I've very sick of people like the "ABOVE" that feel they have to stretch their knowledge to the fullest and belittle other posters. I know others feel strongly about this subject but thats no reason to act in that manor. There's different ways to tell people things, than acting as the roll of God.

I Sincerely Appologize for the up roar of this subject and will retain myself from ever making the same mistake again. Please no more comments on this Subject...Although we know that people are dieing to once again belittle others..As far as I'm concerned we are all Equels.

Sincerely
KShook
