parsonii?

Ummm.. no where.

lol.

if you find one.. over 2 grand.

only a fwe members have them, and so far.. no breeding yet.

Get a mellers or oustalet there in the 200-500 range and still huge.. and possible to find. Parsonii are like the holy grail lol

There are more around than most know of but getting anyone to part with one will be darn hard and costly..

Ousties for 2 to 5 bills? Dang, I've seen oustie juvies for under 1 bill...you can check out the verrucosus, they're big and inexpensive! ;)

You don't just simply go to your local herp shop and snag a parsonii. You have to have the right connections, friends, and most importantly, cash (Not only to acquire the specimen, but also for the feeders, vet bills, etc.) They are few and far between, and even the most senior keepers have not completely mastered their husbandry and captive breeding.

Two hundred is a fairly good price for a captive bred oustaleti. You're right though, you can find them cheaper but they are quite often wild caught specimens from less reputable sources.

Verrucosus are quite unique and get fairly large. If size is what you are looking for, I would also agree with verrucosus.

Melleri also get quite large but can, at some times be somewhat touchy to work with. I have worked extensively with them and find them one of the most rewarding species to keep. Either one of the three mentioned are great alternatives, though!
