Parasites?

Ok. So.

I seem to have noticed these small little mite looking creatures at the bottom of Karm's enclosure. They are very very tiny, white, and seem to stay only at the bottom in with the substrate.
I had taken out all of foilage and vines and soaked them in hot water. After close inspection they were clean. I got a whole new enclosure (I needed a new one anyway to bring to college with me) and got new substrate. I just noticed now that they are back, even after frequent and maticulous cleaning.

These little pinhead bugs are never found on my chameleon and are never fat and red.

I didn't know if they were something that had been coming in on the crickets I had been buying? Or if anyone has had anything like it.

Also I checked to see if they could be reptile mites and they look nothing like them. They don't seem to be too much of a bother but I was just looking on some insight.

Probably wood lice - near impossible to get rid of but are harmless. They're in my veild's cage too and I can't get rid of them. They just eat any debris in the cage, like cricket parts or feces, leftover food of any kind, shed skin, etc. No need to worry about them! :)

They do eat up everything on the bottom. Shed skin, feces, dead crickets. Exactly like you said.
Do you think they could be coming in on the substrate I buy?

Substrate

What type of substrate are you using, you may want to remove the substrate and see if the mites(?) return. If they dont, maybe change substrate type or do not use any at all.
