Congrats on the new cham..
New chams may take a few days to settle into their new homes, which will cause them to stop aeting.
Also, since hes a year old, and if he just ate before you got him, he may not be hungry right now.
My 10 month old veield can go 2-3 days without eating.
I wouldnt be too concerned yet, but i would fill out the help form just in case.

Camimom is right. I skimmed the post and missed the part about you having him for 5 days. It is normal that they won't eat for awhile when brought into a new environment. He should be eating soon if he hasn't eaten for 5 days.

Hi guys

Nosy be male 1 yr.
Handled every other day or when he sits by door and reaches to come out
Trying locusts, wax worm, large meal worms
If I was able to feed him calcium 2 times a week etc etc
Misting about 4 times a day, not seen him drink yet, drip feeder as well
Large reptibreeze, 4ft by 2ft by2ft
Duo heat/uv 7am to 7pm 80 degrees at top of viv
Heat lamp at night 70 degrees at top of viv
Near a window with minimum traffic
Ficus tree and plastic inside
Droppings have been hard born with small white attached, small tint of orang on one but just the once.
In the uk and he was fed the day I got him, last Monday (6 days ago)

Have tried roaming food, in a pot and in forceps

Thanks

I agree he may just be settling in, but 5 days is kinda long, but for the future I would raise his basking temp up a bit. Are you saying 80 degrees under basking area? If so, I would have it more like 90. What would your temps be without the heat lamp?. They really don't need heat at night unless your temps are gonna dip down in the 50's.

Thanku, it's day 6 today, he's is sill v active and seems fine but not sure whether to put a pot of food in and leave I or try hand feeding a couple of times a day?

Is force feeding an option or will the stress finish him off?

you could try either method to try and get him to eat. I would anyways. I have seen chameleons(healthy adults) go for weeks with not eating on here. As long as he is drinking he should be ok.

Try to feed waxworms only as a treat. They are very fattening and have little nutrition.

As for the supplements, use calcium WITHOUT D3 every day, calcium WITH d3 twice a month, and a multivitamin twice a month.
