How do you tell the difference in baby male vs. female panther chameleon?

Do you have a picture for us? It can be quite difficult depending on age!

Generally a picture of the base of the tail from a few angles is going to help, especially if it is straight out and not curled. It is a pretty accurate way to tell.

I don’t have a panther yet. I was curious how some breeders guarantee the sex and others say they will not when you buy babies.

Most reputable breeders can tell because they will not ship ones that are very young, and as they get a bit older it becomes much more evident. There are some cases where it can be difficult to tell, but not for the most part.

A Young male will showcase a small bump at the base of his tail. At very young ages this can be hard to tell but a trained eye can see it.
