I have a nosy be x ambilobe mix I got in June 2011. They said he was a month old then so if that were the case it should be at least 4-5 months old now. But it still looks TINY compared to other pictures of 5 month old panthers. Anyone know why? Hope some panthers just grow faster than others..

Of course they do, they are like anything else. I had one panther take a good 8-9 months to really start growing, and now he's caught up in size and looks completely normal. My dog is the opposite, she towers over her mother and sibling mates, you'd swear we fed her radioactive isotopes! lol

If you'd like you can post photos of him and we can see him and where he's at.

thats awesome to hear! :) I def. will be posting pics soon. Its just that I feed him EVERYDAY and was wondering why he wasnt growing as fast as I thought he should've been.

One of mine decided to stay nice and small. He's an awesome chameleons though. He eats like a pig (free fed,) is friendly, and has the most amazing colors. He's only about 13 inches total length and about 110 grams and he is well over 2 years old. Oddly enough, he is a Sambava which is known for being one of the largest locales.

Some just grow at different rates. They also sometimes grow slower the further away from (generation wise) wild caught blood they are. My crosses also seem to grow a little slower in my experience.

I was also thinking because it was a cross of locale that it might grow slower. I posted pictures of mine in another post!

Hmm, I really doubt it.. But we'll probably never know- A cross locale is more like a mixed dog breed- It is still the same kind of animal.

I have a sambava panther and its 3 months old and bigger than most 3 months i've seen and waaay bigger than the others from the same clutch.
