Panther Eating MOSS!?

Hey guys my baby Ambilobe Panther has been eating the moss in his cage? Is this normal behavior? Should I be concerned? Perhaps due to a nutrient deficiency? My concern is I used pond and stone foam to house live plants as well as aquarium silicone to adhere the moss to the foam! It looks increadable and helps hold humidity throughout the day however I am concerned about him being compacted. I was watching him roam around this morning when he decided to lift one of his back legs and had a huge double dropping with good white coloration so I am guessing this is not affecting him?! Thoughts concerns thanks again!

I would remove all the moss and anything else in the enclosure that's small enough that he might eat. Chameleons will eat allot of different things such as dirt, rocks, bark off branches and moss. If he eats these he could become impacted and have to have surgery and possibly die.

Some mosses have tiny sharp spines that could injure or get snagged somewhere in the GI tract. Enough of it could end up blocking the tract. I would not use it.
