Panther Chameleon's

its up to you really the panthers are all pretty much the same to care for if anything. I heard that veiled chameleons are easier to start off with because they are a little hardier but in my experience i haven't really noticed a difference if anything the opposite. But its up to you they are the same its just your preference

New...

Firstly... WELCOME!
Well one local of Panther is really no different than another or easier care wise they all require the same important Husbandry. Vield Cahmeleons are a good starter Chameleon... and then I guess a Panther Chameleon beyond that.

Just make sure you do your homework & resreach and preparation before you run out and buy the Cham for the animals sake. The Forums are great if you are willing to take advise and learn and be open minded. Also If you buy from a reputable breeder they can assist you in what you should have and do to best ensure your Cham's health. A good place to start if by reading Brad's Thread on Basic Husbandry.. be sure to read ALL the sections. Here is a link to that post:

Good luck in the future but knowledge & advanced CORRECT preparation are key to sucess!!

:D

As far as care is concerned, A panther is a panther regardless of its locale. My personal favorite is the Nosy Faly. You really can't go wrong though --They can all display gorgeous colours. Do some research; check out the different colourations that each locale brings. Find a good breeder - avoid getting him from a pet shop--There are many breeders here who can help you out when you are ready.

Welcome! Panthers are easy to take care of IMO. I have a Male Blue bar Ambanja. No matter what color they are, the care is the same. I would get a male they are easier for a begginner.IMO. Just ask yourself What is your favorit color?..... They come in that. All the colors of the rainbow. I just got my first panther about a month ago. And belive me I know what your going threw. That was the hardest desision for me to make too. So many choices.

Hope this helps:)

I love east coast locales. All the red, orange, yellow, green and white! It's like they just burst into flames when they fire up! Sambava and tamatave are my favorite. I like the orange in sambavas and the white in tamataves. Luckily, my Sambava male has amazing orange and red colors with even white bars in his face! It's like I got what I love about both locales in one small friendly package :)

I would go for a Sambava or a Nosy Faly depending on your budget. Although they're both kind of hard to find that easily. But all of them are awsome
