hello.
i have a chameleon that his eyes keep crusting over and he wont clean them off. i have him in a screened in cage with a heat lamp, and the rain forest florescent lighting. feed him crickets and occasionally a butter worm. have a fountain in cage with fogger machine 6 hours at night. the florescent lighting in on 16 hours a day. the heat lamp 24 hours a day. the cage stays at 78 year round. the humidity is 45 during day 85 at night. the chameleon is aprox 8 months old and 8-11 inches longish. why do his eyes keep crusting closed

Sounds like your setup is all wrong for a panther. Just a few things, your lighting should only be on for 12 hours, your heat is way to low, and the heat lamp may be on to long. You should check out the caresheet on here for your chameleon. Attach a pic of your setup as well so we can see what you have going on.
I think you need to do some research pretty quick if you want to help your chameleon.

This is good advice. You should also fill out a "How to ask for help" form on the tab Health Clinic.
Pictures are very helpful.
