Panther Chameleon Sex ID

Ok next step is take him to every other day with these amounts. Now we are seeing if he maintains weight rather than dropping it. Due to his age we have to be cautious because we do not want him to become obese either. Based on current body tone and casque thickness he is right were we want to see him without his casque becoming bulbous which shows excess fat storage.
After cutting down to every other day he seems to be doing the same, maybe even better haha. I’m also feeding hornworms (1-2 depending on size) every other feed. This is a crazy transformation from the beginning of this post.

Ok perfect, Lets keep him here for another week on an every other day feeding schedule. See if he self reduces more. Next step due to his age and his current body tone is going to be to go ahead and keep him on every other day but you will do 4-5 insects each feeding. Body tone now is what I would expect of a healthy boy over a year. Casque is full but not overly full. No sign of ribs showing and he now has muscle on his limbs. So he is looking really good now. Great job implementing the advice given. I am glad you found the forum and he is having the turn around I would expect to see.

Note.... Pull the tape you have in the cage out. This is high risk. Chams can get it stuck to their skin and it can pull their skin from the body.

Should you ever want to do a full husbandry review now that we have him physically back to 100% let me know.
