I just got my male baby panther chameleon Red 6 days ago, he a few crickets straight out my hand the first night we had him, then his appetite was huge he was eating roughly twenty pinheads a day but he's just stopped eating. He sits on is branch and stares at the cricket cup but doesn't eat. We tried giving him hoppers but he wont eat them either. He doesn't seem stressed or ill and looks quite content but im worried about him. Its been almost three days now. Any one have any idea what i could do ?

My panther did a similar thing. When he arrived and we unpacked him, he ate about 15 to 20 crickets... 2nd day he ate about the same. it seems to have been decreasing over time and I only saw him eat 2 yesterday (but let him with some in a cricket cup). Normally I hold the cup to him and he goes at it... but its very hard to hold a cup out for a long time for him to eat. I thought he wanted to stalk the crickets (thats what I call it lol) and i let a few go at a time in the cage with him. I do this 3x a day (i give about 4 or 5 crickets at a time)... then I leave him be. I check at night to see what he eats but sometimes crickets hide so I dont know how many he is eating exactly. I am going to try and feed him now and see if he is interested. I tried hanging the cup (yesterday) then placing him next to it but he was freaked out at the cup and didnt eat any from it as I could see... i hope he has an appetite today. BTW mine arrived Sept 28 2012
