Panther chameleon locale?

I've always been curious about the piebalds and if the "burn victim" look is by design or an breeding experiment gone bad?
Think the original translucent or piebald where discovered & collected from a certain group of chameleons which showed a lack of pigmentation mutation. The gene that triggers the colour morph is co-dominant meaning if two high end piebald breed 100% of offspring will be high end piebald. If a high end piebald & normal veiled breed the clutch would be 100% low end piebald.
If two low end piebalds are then bred then you get a 50% low end, 25% normal colour & 25% high end piebalds.
Then if high end & low end piebalds are mated you get half low and half high end chameleons.
So a certain amount of line breeding has been going on to achieve a high end translucent or also known as piebald chameleon
