panther chameleon laying eggs

Hi all... I have what seems to be a particularly fussy female panther chameleon who does not like any of the places i have offered her to lay her eggs.. its been a bit too long for my liking and she has left one egg on the surface.... has anyone else had positive experiences with panthers laying eggs? If so how did you do it.... maybe there is something i haven't tried yet!

I've tried sand and soil (peat type stuff for seedings) so far, in two different vivs and a large plastic container. I've dug holes for her, planted logs etc... although she is eating and all other bodily functions seem in order she is a bit slow and lethargic, and will take her to the vets tomorrow but any advice or hints n tips would be gratefully received. ;0)

Buy a LARGE trash bin/tub and fill it (10-15 inches) with soil/sand/coco husk/ etc. And make sure it's moist. Put a fake plant in and a vine/perch, and cut a hole in the lid and screen it. Get a very low wattage bulb so that the bin is just warm and she has a subtle basking area. Put her in it, and put the lid on. Don't let her see you watching. Some need the soil to be the lowest point on the ground, and this way shows that the sand/soil is the only ground there is. Some girls are picky.

EDIT: make sure it doesn't get too hot!

I use a large (20"L x 12"W x 18"Deep) plastic tote, and ensure it is the lowest place in the cage (infill around it - i use towels for this purpose). Make sure the sand is just damp enough to hold a tunnel but not wet. Make sure the sand is deep enough (at least a foot). Make sure the laying bin is a dark colour. Provide a few branches to allow her to get down into the laying bin. Even a plant or plastic plant tucked in one corner.
Then leave her alone. too much fussing around her wont help
