Panther chameleon help!

Ok so about 2 days ago on saturday i was at my local reptile expo and purchased about an adult panther chameleon. But now I see he is taking a nap here and there and im not sure if i should take him to the vet he is eating and drinking but im not to sure?

Can you post a picture of him? He might be sick, or stressed.

Seems to be ok looks so cute ! You say occasional sleeping during the day how often do you feed him how old looks about 8-10 months to me have you done a fecal test at vet yet

If he is sleeping during the day (closing his eyes and lightening his colors) I would say he might have parasites, so I'd get a fecal done at the vet's (usually 30$).

If he isn't closing his eyes, just chilling there, I wouldn't worry.

Yes, it is recommended that you take him to see a vet. It is important to build a rapport with a knowledgeable vet for when there's an emergency.

Fecal exam: check for parasites
Blood work: check for organ function
X-rays: detects signs of MBD

It's not a bad idea to have these tests done when he's healthy, so that you have a baseline and standard to which you can compare results when something is wrong.
