Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - 1 Year old male Panther, I have had him since he was 8 weeks old.
Handling - very infrequently
Feeding - When he was eating regularly he was eating about 5-8 3/4 inch crickets a day. Crickets are gut loaded with commercial vitamin enriched diet
Supplements - I calcium dust 4 times a week and supplement Rep cal multi vitamin 3 times a week
Watering - He has a drip system and had been drinking regularly up until a few days ago
Fecal Description - tested for parasites by the breeder not since then. He up until yesterday was still having bowel movements, brown and little bit of white, looks same as usual.
History - He had been shedding regularly, the last time he had a shed, about a month ago, he had a little longer time to loosen all the old skin and he seems since that time to be sleeping more and barely opening his eyes.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - screen cage, back covered to protect from drafts, 18x18x18
Lighting - Repti glo 2.0 UVB, exo terra 50 watt infrared heat bulb. Bulbs are on a 12 hour timer, on at 7am off at 7 pm.
Temperature - temerature range 80 in basking spot and 70 at bottom of cage. Over night temp between 62-65 measured with reptile thermometer.
Humidity - humidity level is average of 60 percent, he is misted daily and I have a humidity meter in the enclosure.
Plants - no live plants right now, he used to have false arialia but did not seem to thrive once winter came.
Placement - Cage is in corner of living room, no drafts, top of cage 6 feet from floor.
Location - Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Current Problem - Besides the before mentioned lack of desire to open his eyes, he has become extremely sluggish, staying in one corner of his cage almost exclusively (under the UV bulb, which I changed a little over a month ago). Today he is hanging by his tail all day, falling once, very little feeding for the last week, not much drinking either. He takes little or no notice of anything around him, does not even object to handling when I put him back on his branch after he fell. He is worrying me as he has always been perfectly healthy until his last shed when he seems to be becoming lethargic.
