Panther chameleon down!!!

I have a panther chameleon 1yr old, his eyes arent opening to its full potential, there was old water laying in the bottom of the tank that he may have gotten into. the timer on his cage was broken light stayed on for about two weeks before i had noticed that it was broken what do i do? help
