Panther cham eye infection/injury

please help my male panther is 1 year old and is tame. I noticed his eye was getting bad about a week ago. I thought it would pass so i let him be in his cage with handling to a minimum. I woke up around noon today and noticed he was floating in the water, i thought he was dead but he had woken up very weak. Please help ASAP!
