First off, my apologies if this thread belongs in a different place on the forum but I thought this was as good of place as any. :p

I wanted to give a big shout out to VegasChad for his awesome article in the August '09 Reptiles Magazine! I just got it in the mail yesterday and was super excited to see what was on the front cover. I'm sure it wasn't easy editing a gazillion pages worth of great information down to a general overview - but a fabulous article nonetheless! Yes, I could have just sent him a PM, but I wanted to make others aware of the article, if they haven't gotten it already.

Kudos to Chad (and Darci)!! :D:D:D

Uuuuhhhh. Don't go just yet! I doubt that it will be on the shelves for at least another month or so (it's the August issue). If you get the subscription, you get it way ahead of time. :D

Chad, I second the autograph request! I will bring my copy with me to the Super Show and we can have an autographing session for you. :D lol

Congrats Chad!

Congrats on the great article Chad! I was going to post a thread on it yesterday after I got mine in the mail. Something popped up before I could get to it. Great information. I love the pictures. When I saw it on the cover my thought was "Man who did the article?". I knew I would know whoever did it and I was right. I understand about the sunken eye look. Royden from the forum was at my house on Sunday. We took a big Nosy Be male out for photos and he was pissed. He sucked his eye turrets way into his head. It took about 1/2 hour before they started coming back out. When Royden posts photos of him his eyes are going to look a bit sunken too even though they never are normally. The boy on the cover of Reptiles looks so healthy otherwise that I just know he was doing the same thing. It's perfectly normal. It's funny.....another good friend of mine, Scott Corning, has the article on Frilled Dragons in the same issue. He does the Daytona show every year and has the monster Hydrosaurus lizards on display (Dragon Attack is his business name). Congrats again Chad. And Darci....I know you had to have had some involvement there too :) Catherine
