Painful Twitch

I've seen my chameleon yawn a few times, and I had some questions. He always yawns twice, the first time looking normal and the second looking quite painful. He opens his mouth surprisingly wide and jerks his head to the side really quick. It looks rather uncomfortable. Can someone help?

It does look quite violent though.
They do it on purpose.

He may be stretching out the skin of his face and neck to start a shed. So don't be surprised if you see him shed in the next couple days. So don't worry, it's awkward but normal.

wait till you see them buldge the eye (for cleaning) looks like a parasite is in it sqirming around!! but its normal..lol
