Padding bottom of cage?

some sort of soft plants wil help with that. Melleri are really prone to falling, so Kristina had a good idea of keeping the reptarium bottoms off of a surface, so they were like a hammock. When moved to other cages, she used a growing moss or fern of sorts. It was really pretty. Have to find out what they were.

One of my females has been sick for a while, conjunctivitus, pinworms and now flagellites (pinworms were from a cricket shipment, but the protozoans must have been with her since I got her, and only became a problem after she got hurt). She's weak, so I put a padding on the bottom. Normally, I use newspapers or paper towels on the bottom of the cages. For her, I added a few sheets of that thin, plastic foamish insulation that came wiht my cricket shipments (it's stuck in the space between two boxes for winter insulation). It's soft enough that it would help in case of a fall.
