Outdoors/weather question

I live in South Carolina, at the Georgia border. My cham is a 9 month old make veiled. I built him a nice outdoor cage with a real tree and a constant mist on one side. Today it was 108 degrees where I live so I opted to keep him in his indoor cage. Is there a temp range I should stick to? So far he's spent most days out and all nights in.

Also I've noticed because of the mister, the hornets and wasps like to buzz around his enclosure. The holes in the screen are large enough for them to crawl through. I'm worried about him eating a hornet. Like... what would happen should he do this? =/

I would say 108 is just too hot. All you could do is bring him out and see if you see any indications of heat stress like gaping or turning very light in color.Shade and misting would be a must. I would not leave outside for any long period of time without checking in on him. I mean I certainly would not go to work all day and leave him. Also, as far as the hornets and bees, I have heard on here of chameleons eating them and being ok. I guess you just have to worry about them getting stung in the mouth which I am sure would not be a good thing. They are not poisonous to them as far as I know

Yeah I thought it was too hot today too. And I am a stay at home mom so I'm able to check on him frequently, and he is indoors when the sun starts to set to after he is fed in the morning. I worry too much about raccoons or something, those suckers are crafty.
