how do you keep ants out of a outdoor cage I live in Fl and the ants are no joke. I have an indoor cage for my cham but it sounds interesting.

I try to prevent feeders from getting loose in the cage which attracts the ants.

I totally agree! It has done well for 5 seasons, the screen is just getting some hard water stains (even though I use a water filter).

It does attract small bees etc. I need to modify a section of screen with bigger mesh to allow them to get in the cage.

Take care not to allow any biting and stinging insects into your enclosure.

Im in FL and working on a bioactive outdoor cage. Do you keep full time outdoors? And do you do bulbs or anything for temp and uv? Tell me everything

I live in Kentucky, so cryo is outdoors from May to end of September. I replant every spring with a large vining mandavilla plant. No lights or heat outdoors, the sun handles that for me. I have a patio mister on top of the cage with a hose timer that goes off every 4-6 hours depending on the outdoor temp. Whenever the low drops below 55 or the high is above 95 I might have to bring him him to his indoor cage for the day. Also having the cage partially covered by shade is needed to provide them with options. Cryo will be 6 in April. @beansbeth
