I think so…you could slap a sunshade over the top part to keep it cooler in the summer. Not sure how big the wire openings are but if you have bugs or lizards in your area they are likely to get in. Also, will this be in a fenced in area? If not just fortify it so nothing can break in.

Personally i have an issue with non square mesh holes. It seems that "non chameleons" can turn their head sideways and really compress their head and wiggle through the bars. And the bars can be accidently bent open too. And yes i use one for an outdoor "sun" cage, but they are only in it for an hour or so, and are monitored closely.
