as you know it is ohmost getting to the the time where we can
(in illinois) out our chams outside. i just started to work at menards
so everytime i walk threw the store i notice all these things that i
can use for a chameleon cage outdoors. i just got some hardware net
(plastic square netting) that is 3' by 15' for $11. im going to be getting 1'' ovc tubes that are 5' long also. im going to make my outdoor enclosure
2.5' x 2.5' x 5'H. im going to make it simple and easy to collapse
because i have little monsters for neibors who will want to play with it and
i dont trust all the kids in my neighbor hood with leaving my cham outside
all the time, unsupervised. so it will be easy and really cheep. its only for
the use of the sun really. im going to fasten the net to the pvc by zipties,
simple yet strong enough.
my concern is of a few outdoor hazards.
1. is it going to blow away? it gets quite windy here.
2. bees and wasps. im alergic to bees and wasps, and if my cham eats them
can the stinger harm him? will they sting him?
3. with this netting is he going to get enough light threw it? (it is the same
net as nico has for his female veiled, if you look at his latest threads with
pictures of her fat belly)
4. other wild bugs. will other crazy wild bugs venture into his cage and
cause problems if he eats them?
5. well water. i have well water outside, and i might have the sprinkler on
spraying him (thos rainbow like sprinklers that go left to up to right, you know?) and will this freak him out due to the cold water? will the hard water
be bad for him?
6. any other dangers that i cant think of, that you mention.
thank you for you help.
