He's a beast! - Just chilling like a boss 
. So paleness is usually relaxed, happens when you switch the lights out (in a box). The curled tail is usually an indication of relaxation too. He ate on the first day home (so did all mine) - don't want to jinx it but you may have a friendly one there........

it all depends on how their route is when i got my panthers from kammers the ups email said noon but i got them at 9 just depends on the order they are doing their deliveries.

I wasnt sure if i should make a new thread or just keep on with this one but for now im going to keep this one going.
finally got his cage set up pretty much. the vine work sucks but it was frustrating me and it gets him from a to b so it works..
dez sent me a handful of pictures that show him off better than my cell phone can (although thats not going to stop me from posting phone pics!) so this will be a post with some pictures.

(by dez) i know ive posted this before but its fairly true to how he looks. i think he is a tad more vibrant but you get the idea. pictures never do anything justice.
on to the cell pics. please note - most of the colors on this are fairly inaccurate.
entering the umbrella jungle (he hung out in the umbrella plant for awhile, it was pretty funny)
i just thought it was cool this bloomed in my room, the cham isnt in this pic..
the set up.. sorta (any questions about it, just ask!) i think he is on the hanging plastic part of the pothos planter

thats all for now, ask away if you have questions, ask for pics of whatever etc. im happy to reply to any and all requests. i DID make an unboxing but its a little bit embarrassing in a way. lets just say it didnt go as smooth as i remembered it.
i know he has had at least 4 or 5 crickets if not more but i havent actually seen him get them. other people in my house saw him eating them though. i saw him drink pretty much right when he got in the cage which was pretty cool.. i like how they arent as shy about that as you would think.
anyways, i have some important questions id like answered fast so im going to start a thread in the enclosure/supplies section of the forum if anyone wants to help - its light/heat bulb related.

i wasnt intending on him getting on the hook. thats just kind of where he ended up. i had branches ready to go but someone broke them and threw them away 
i want to redo the vines but they are kind of hard to work with in my opinion, i expected them to be more wirey in a way. i am going to get a few branches and a couple decent sticks and but some of them horizontally (like bird perches sort of) so he will have a lot more options tomorrow most likely.
but yeah. i definitely agree he needs better higher up spots. hopefully i have some luck finding a few good sticks or branches. i also felt like my plants were bigger when they werent in the cage but thats not such a huge deal.
he is sleeping in the umbrella plant/tree (mine is more of a plant than a tree unfortunately). im guessing he is used to going to sleep a lot earlier than me because he was like.. getting ready for bed hours before i inteded him to. is that pretty typical? chams having their own routine memorized?
idk. i think tomorrow will be better. hes a cool guy.
btw i always appreciate suggestions, so thank you (anyone else who suggested i do or try something) i went out and got a couple other bulbs to try to see if they work any better for me.

yeah they pretty much decide when they want to go to bed but mostly with the cycle of morning and night. You never want your chameleon to be sleeping during the day by the way. As you probably have read, something is awry and they are probably ill or the lighting is bothering their eyes, its too hot, etc. I set my lights to go on and off pretty much from like 8am to 8 pm. My chamleleon usually goes to his sleeping spot about an hour before and sits and waits til lights go out. I cover my cage up with a blanket at night as my chameleon sits next to my computer and the light is distracting to him. They like darkness to sleep. No lights on at night as I am sure you have read. BTW, he is a handsome little fellow and cannot wait to see him mature. Congrats and please feel free to ask any questions!!!
