I've been thinking about getting an oustalet's and I am trying to commit to the ordeal monetarily by buying a cage. I decided I wanted an aluminum one, But the biggest ones I can find are 24x24x48. Is this adequate for an adult male oustalets? Does anyone know where I can find a bigger aluminum cages than this at a reasonable price?

U could either buy 2 of the biggest cages an rig them together or have one custom made or build one yourself

Agree. When you reach these sizes it is often more cost effective to build your own. There is nothing wrong with a wood frame cage...for its weight wood is strong and very workable. Just seal the wood well before and after you put all the holes in the surface for mounting screens etc. You could also buy two of the 24x48 cages, remove two of the side panels and join them together. I'm sure your Ousti would LOVE that space. Why have a large beautiful active cham in a cramped space? I always find large spaces give a cham a lot more options in its life, I can get a lot more creative with larger bushy plants and other "furniture" and create more microclimates for it, watching more of the chams' natural behavior is so rewarding. Free ranging a large species like melleri or Oustaleti is also a pleasure if you have a safe area for it.

Actually, I built a huge wood cage a couple years ago when I made my first attempt at cham keeping, I've been kicking myself for the last week for selling it. I wish I could remember how much I spent in materials. but im guessing it was more than the cost of the pre built one. However, since I am getting a smaller CB specimen, I will have months before he's big enough to really appreciate the space, when he gets big though, more than likely, I'll build another one of these.

I don't know how i missed your last sentence but I've also seriously considered setting up a corner of my room as a free range for when i'm home.
