Do anyone have one or know anything about them,we are getting one tm. Just wondering if the care for them is any different and if anyone has pics to share.

I have three. They need a lot of space and food. I free range mine. I feel free ranging is better in general and especially for large chameleons.

Mine like a lot a of water and getting long mistings (45 minutes to an hour in the morning alone) I've heard people say they don't need much water but I haven't found that to be the case.

They are also quite active and move around more than they bask.

As I said they like to eat and my large male will come down from the free range as soon as I get out one of the feeder bins. He likes to just get in the bin and feed himself!

I find them shyer than the panthers and veileds but mine are okay with hand feeding and handling and the males will often hang out with the panthers and veiled in their free range area.

Females are much smaller than males. Full grown sized. However female oustalets I have found to be larger than panthers. :)

Thats cool so they get along with other chameleons?? do you know if the females get as big as the males???

I would not assume they get along with other chameleons. They may or they may not ... I raise mine quite differently than most so I have different results.

My female is close in size to my male panther.

Yeah....every chameleon has a different attitude/ personality. My male just about takes my hand off every time I open up his cage.
