Red gave us quite a scare over the weekend but after an ultrasound today with the Oncologist, he it clear.......no cancer.......only had a bad infection. That's a load off my mind. I am so happy that Red's ok.

Glad to hear he is okay! Did he have a lump?? The older my dogs get, they seem to pop out on them.

No Amanda is wasn't a lump. Red went to the bathroom in the house early Sat. morning. Red NEVER pees in the house so we knew something was wrong. We started checking him out and his gentile area was swollen and he was passing a little blood and straining to pee. Our local vet is open a half day on Sat. and we rushed him over. She ran all kinds of test, x-rays and blood work. When the blood work results came back on Monday she wanted me to take him for an ultrasound down in West Palm Beach. The Oncologist was great. She did the whole lower body. He has a little arthritis at the base of his tail and polyps in his bladder caused by the infection. She has him on an antibiotic for a whole month because she said it will take a while to clear up this infection because he's probably had it for a while before he started showing symptoms.

Thanks everyone for you kind words. Red really was back to his old self today. Running around and playing and pulling all of his toys out of the toy box and all over the house. It was so nice!:D:D
