Other bulbs?

Right now I'm using a Zoo Med 60 Watt Day Bulb for my 5 month old panther and I think that the temp's might be too low. Is there any bulb that you would recommend for a panther of this age? Thanks :)

In addition to a long linear Repti-sun 5.0 in a double fixture, I use a regular fluorescent in the other side of the fixture and a regular household incandescent bulb of a wattage that gives the right temperature in the basking area.

Hi, when I got my cham I bought the whole set up from the breeder, lights and all. I was sold a 100 watt basking bulb. I used it from quite awhile but Inoticed as my cham got older he would open his mouth when he basked so i lowered it to 60 watt. My question, is what are your basking temps, and why do you feel they are low?

You could go with a 75watt house bulb. But make sure he cant get to close to the bulb and get burned. But I wouldnt go any higher.

Hope this helps:)
