Othello and Cerberus out in the sun

I just moved into a house with a yard, so I decided to take Othello out and perch him in a small tree we have. He wasn't very happy about the whole idea, which leads me to ask how people get their chameleons into outdoor perches/cages and how often they do it without their chams giving them their "I hate you so much" look?

I took some pictures though, so here they are!

And one of little Cerberus, who was bright and happy until I pulled out the camera. I don't know what it is about the camera that makes both these guys so uncomfortable.

They're being moved around and they don't know why; that can upset them. When I've put my guys out in a tree/bush in the sun, they've been happy enough to go out once they've learned what going outside is, but much less happy to be recaptured and brought back in!

Of course, I get that they must be terrified for a minute there. But do they get more used to it over time, if you have a set routine were at X hour/X day you take him out and he goes straight to his outide perch/cage? I've had this guy for 8 months now, but the temperatures haven't been ideal yet so he's only gone outside twice in that entire time

Mine loves to go outside, and when I hold out my hand to him after work, he climbs on right away. He recognizes "outside" sufficiently that, if I walk past the front door with him, he becomes agitated and reaches for the door, "expecting" to go out there. He'll usually sit still and bask for at least 20 minutes, turning himself towards the sun and flattening; after 20 minutes he may want to start exploring, or he may continue basking.

You have some beautiful chameleons. I live about an hour south of you and my guys love to go outside. I keep large trees in the back yard for them and sit outside and watch them as often as I can. It brings us BOTH great pleasure (me & the chams). :)

I've heard if you get an hour of sunlight a day you can do without the calcium with D3 supplement? If so would you replace that with regular calcium like in this instance

Mon: Cal W/O D3
Tues:Cal W/O D3
Wens:Cal W/O D3
Thurs:Cal W/O D3
Fri:Cal W/O D3
Sat: none
Sun: Sunlight = Cal W/O D3|||||| no sunlight = Cal With D3

Thank you Jannb!

I'm hoping that the temperature becomes more stable and I'll try getting them outside during the mornings. But lately in the morning it's hovering at 58-65* and that's no fun for them. But you can tell from the photos of Othello that after being in the sun a little while he was a neon green, so he might have been a little uncomfortable with me sitting there near him but he must have been loving the sun!

Edit- it was much warmer than 60* when we were out today lol before anyone jumps to that conclusion.
