Ordering worms online?

I placed an order for small horn worms and small silkworms because in the past when I ordered med ones they were larger than my Chameleon when I got my order so anyways I am about to go out of town and so I knew my order was suppose to be delivered today so I tracked my order online and it said "holding at Fed Ex"???WHAT? I had to drive all the way across town to get Ozzies flipping order and it was in the worst part of town and the worst area for bumper to bumper traffic! Needless to say I was just a bit "flaming Mad" Now I get them home and poor Ozzie is so hungry because he wouldn't eat the Dubia Roaches I purchased!! I open the order and "seriously??" I needed a magnifying glass to see the damn worms...UGH!

How the heck am I suppose to know what size silkworms and horn worms to order if every Company considers sm, med and large different sized from each other?? How frustrating! Who else has had similar problems like me? Ozzie looked at me like "hey lady are you kidding I cannot even see my food LMAO!!!

Oh and yes this time I am ticked off and won't be ordering from that Company any more due to them having my shipment specifically held at Fed Ex! They should at least email someone and ask if they are going to be home for delivery and most of the time I am due to working part time and getting home before Noon.

I use Coastal Silkworms and they tell the size you are getting, like small 1/2 to 3/4 inches.

Yes I have ordered from there before and the hornworms were ordered as med and they were bigger than Ozzie and so he was afraid of them LOL!

This time I ordered from a different Company and Ozzie was able to eat about 30 silkworms at one time on the account of how silkworms stay all bundled together. I guess I will go back to Coastal Silkworm and place another order and try again.....sigh

Ozzie, with coastal, there is a comments box, tell them what you want specifically there. I tell Clara how old my chams are and what size I want and she makes sure my order is right everytime

Thanks I will try that next time I like how they send the order to your house and not to Fed Ex and they offer cold and hot packs.

You simply ASK the company (before you order) what length/size range their worms are for each category.

Usually cups of hornworms that are "mini" arrive with actual mini worms. They grow amazingly fast though, so in a few days they should be the perfect size for your chameleon.
