opinions on waxworms

Ive read they are high in fat and should be offered rarely if ever. Problem is, they're one of the three feeders I can get locally and would be nice to be able to use in between orders. What do you guys think about them?

I heard they can cause fatty liver.. I only use these on occasion, like for when I'm trying to get my Cham used to handling, I'll reward him.
In all honesty, my panther Cham prefers reptiworms. Much healthier also

As said " they are like candy" . Chams can go on hunger strike for them. There are lots more nutritious feeders out there without waxworms. I know it's handy to get them from pet shop but you might like to grow a colony of roaches.:D

opinion on hornworms for my cham

Just got an order of hornworms haven't fed them yet. What your experiences with them and how often can I offer them to my chams?

My guys will only eat small hornworms- once they get to be 1"-1 1/2" they will not touch them. They are great for hydration though. When I have them I usually give one or two with the other feeders.

My 7 month old veiled will only eat the hornworms when they are small. I have some that have gotten to be 4 inches now. I am hoping they will cocoon and turn into moths.
