My boyfriend text me as he was leaving for work to say he noticed our veiled chameleon Scrambles had an injury and he didn’t know what happened. I made my way over and found that he seems to have a good chunk out of the front of his crest and as much as it looks bloody it’s not running out of him. It’s more like a graze. I opened up his vivarium, checked the temp, felt the mesh at the top to see if He maybe got burned and everything was fine. At first I thought it might have been crickets but it doesn’t seem swollen. I started to spray the enclosure down to suss out his behaviour and he seems like his everyday self. He climbed on my hand as he always does when you’re spraying water in, had a roam around and headed back in and had a drink. Any ideas on what this could be and how best to treat his wound? (Thankfully he responds extremely well to handling so I can probably inspect further if needed)
