Would it be alright if you fed only dubias for awhile i dont have any money right now and all i have is my dubia colony which exploded with babies a month ago. I know to feed a variety of feeders but i just ran out of supers and silkies and i have cocoons that im hoping to get some baby silkies out of in the future. As soon as im able to get some other feeders i will i just wanted to know if for just a little while if its alright to feed just dubias (extremely gutloaded of course) lol

Dubia will be fine for awhile. Maybe you can do some odd jobs around the house for some cash to buy feeders. Wish you lived by me.....I have plenty that need to be done...

Believe me jann i wish i lived by you too :D

Dubias will be fine just keep the gutload changing and make sure to get them lots of good fruits and vegies and youll be fine

I guess the question is How long is "awhile"
A couple weeks on dubias alone wont do any harm at all. But a couple months, in my opinion, would be unwise.

I haven't read anything saying that Dubias shouldn't be used as a staple feeder. My research shows that they have a great meat to shell ratio and are easy gutload.

But i would be interested in hearing some conflicting info, so i can make sure to be fully informed.

Thanks.
