Online Feeders?

Does anyone order bulk feeders? If so can you post some of the Sites you order from? Are there any I should stay away from/ bad experiences? Thanks

Frank

Here's a couple of my favorites that I've used and would recommend:

For Silkies and Hornworms: http://www.coastalsilkworms.com

For Crickets and Superworms: http://www.premiumcrickets.com

For Phoenix worms and Fruitflies: http://www.blackjungle.com/home.htm

I would stay away from Worm man. I placed an order from him and never received it. It took me two months to get my refund which I did by emailing them daily for it. Very poor customer service. I've heard many people getting the same type of results there.

I ordered crickets from NYWorms on Monday morning, and received them Wednesday morning. There wasn't a single one dead in the box.

I just recently started a bulletin board called the "Feeder Finder", It's far from complete but it's being updated daily. It was created in the hopes of helping people find reliable online feeder sites. You can review the sites listed with a good or bad review if you have experience with them. You can also add any that I may be missing. Being a frequent visitor of boards like this one I have seen this type of question come up over and over again, "where is the best place to get ____". So in an effort to have the best answer available I thought a central database of online feeders was the best solution. Any feed back is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey, great new forum. Is it possible to add an "other" section? I notice that fruit flies aren't listed, and I am forever looking for smaller feeders for the brevs. Plus, I would really like to find a few suppliers of "rare" feeders.

As per your request, Fruit Flies are now listed.

on the topic of having a "other" section for "rare" feeders. Could you give me an example? What would you consider to be a rare feeder?

P.S. Thanks go out to Will Hayward from this forum for contributing to the listings!

Thank you!

Examples of "rare" feeders: Praying mantis, sow bugs, walking sticks, locusts (rare for us Americans), house flies, spring tails, firebrats, meal moths, flour beetles... :D And the other stuff that I don't know about but really want to! Like, the cave crickets that Leah wrote an article about in chameleon news. For some of these insects, transporting across state lines is illegal.. but if someone had some in the state of Oregon and was willing to part with them, I would be a very happy camper.

Thanks for that frum, I will now go check it out. In case I forget (and it's not listed there), are there better places to buy smaller amounts of feeders? I have one tiny juvi panther, and 4 cresties (who eat mostly an MRP) so I don't really need too many feeders, but I would like to supply a variety. My boss & her kids are also into herps tho, so if smaller supplies are not readily avalible online, I have someone to share them with... Just wondering. Thanks!

MdngtRain, look into buying smaller bulk orders of worms that can be refridgerated, and so theyll last you longer for your smaller number of reptiles.

Butterworms, waxworms, mealworms all can be refridgerated and a good supplements to crickets and the other feeders.
