One more light question.

Can I place the fluorescent UVB bulb so it hangs vertical (floor to ceiling) with the tree?
Or
Does it have to hang horizontal (side to side) at the top of the tree?

Just read your first lighting post, and I use a 6% Arcadia for UVB. Very good penetration throughout the enclosure due to the reflector on the fixture. Bonus with these is that they should last up to a year as opposed to the standard UVB's that need to be swapped out every 6 months. As for the positioning, definitely on top for chams. They need places with shade to escape the heat and feel more secure if they want to. I would suggest a UVB tube bulb as well as a 6500k for live plants. The better the reflector in the fixture, the more effective it will be. As for the screen, do not use any of the tight mesh insect screen and you should be O.K. I use a vinyl coated pet screen on the sides of my enclosure, but an aluminum screen on the top so the basking bulbs do not melt the coating and enough light gets through.

There's always one who breaks the rules. I have a wooden viv and have no option but to fix it to the back wall diagonally. I have loads of foliage in there so he can get away from it when he wants.:)

I have actually been thinking that may be my best option too. I have been playing with the lights and mister and with the thickness of the fake tree I have, I think there will be enough options to get away from the light if I did put it vertical. It's just not looking to good trying to do it horizontal. Still playing with it, will have to try every option. Thanks though for letting me know it can work:)

I have 6% arcadia t5 34inch with reflector. I angle the reflector so the light is shining downwards rather than outwards. It works for me.:)

With enough foliage this would be fine. Just be sure the misting does not land on the fixture, and there is still enough cover to escape the light if your cham needs to! :)
