One Eye Closed?

It's day 4 with Reptar and I noticed he won't open one of his eyes. He's drinking fine & eating some (not as much as I'd like, but he's still settling in). Other than his eye he's acting completely normal. I noticed he's been hanging on the top of his screen cage so I'm wondering if he got too close to his lights & burned his eye? He's had calcium w/o D3 on his crickets for the past 3 days & Reptivite today (he'll get it again in 2 weeks). The crickets have fluker's cricket food as well as carrots & lettuce. He's in a 16x16x30 cage & has a 65w floodlight for basking & Reptisun T5 ho with a 10.0 UVB bulb.

Brand new UVB bulbs can bother their eyes. The 10.0 is pretty high for a baby. Try leavening it off a couple of days and see if that helps. When you do turn it back on hang it up off the enclosure. If your weather permits some outside time, not in the direct sun would be good for him.

Should I switch the bulb to the 5.0 that came with the hood?

I would leave the light off a couple days and see if that helps. If it doesn't he might need a vet visit. I would also try some long warm mistings. When you put a UVB light back on him use the 5.0 and still raise it up off the cage.
