One Baby Out...

One baby is out of a very moldy egg.... She barely moves and seems incredibly weak. She has been out for maybe 20 minutes now, so maybe this is normal? She will not open her eyes, and breathes once in awhile... What can I do for her? :/

It is normal for them to just lay there for a long time looking like they are not moving at all. They are slowly absorbing all the yolk and it will probably be up and walking around by the end of the day. Just leav it for a little while. Sometimes I pick them up and hose them off after a few hours and they usually start walking right after that. If not I will put them back and check on them later. :)

Thank you, Suzi! It's been a rough clutch to get through, so pulling for the little girl :) We were going to go eat dinner at the in-laws house tonight, so might just have to bring her with me to keep her hydrated!

Don't think the little baby girl is going to make it through the night... She is still remaining green and beautiful, but barely makes any movement and is just so lifeless. She has been out of her egg now for 12 hours, and she barely lifts her leg once in awhile. Hoping her 2 siblings (both of the other eggs are now sweating) make it out nice and healthy, this is terribly sad :(

I have babies that do that also. Just let them be. As long as they are green. Some just take longer. By tomorrow if all the yolk is absorbed pick it up and let some water run gently on it. It should jump up and start to run around in your hand. I had 3 just 2 days ago I thought were gonners but I just left them lay in the hatching box and this morning they were running around. No bath, no nothing.
