Since we live in military housing I had to call maintence do to a possible mold which turned out to be water damage. Well they had to call a construction company to fix the wall. Well it turns out that our waterheater is corrupted. So they're working on getting a new one. But that's not all! The pipes in the WHOLE house are BAD!!!! So now I think our possiblity of moving out is sooner than we thought

I have no travel cages right now for my chameleons. All I have is the 2x3x4 size wooden cages that I built and cant take those to the hotel if they tell us to get a hotel.

It is all ok. Go to the local dollar store. Buy double the number of cheap laundry hampers that you have chams toun one hamper upside down and you now have temp cages. If you need more help send me a pm, I can get you through this.

Laurie, I totally saw those at Walmart and thought you could use them as temporary cages! Too bad they don't have a top on them you could zip around. They cost $5 as apposed to those "flexariums" which are the same thing with a zipper. That blows my mind that someone else noticed that. Good call girl. ;)

I have a couple clothes baskets like this... Would these work?

I would say if the Chameleon can't get out and there is enough room then it'll do for a while :) How old are your Chams? I used a laundry bin and a waste paper basket as outdoor sun cages for a while. As long as it's cleaned out nicely, and the Cham fits.........

Ringo is 5m/o and Angel is 5-6m/o. If I knew I could get one of the wooden cages in the hotel room I would just divide it. Knew I should if bought some more lumber to make travel cages "sigh"

First of all never tempt worse for you shall receive it in abundance.

An upside down laundry basket can tip over so easily. Rubbermaid's are your friends though. I'm sure you've seen baby set-ups in plastic totes, well the same works as temporary caging for adults. Just buy a bigger tote. These are nice too as you can sneak them into hotels much easier than a large cage. Also those cheap zippered mesh butterfly cages / laundry hampers are a cheap alternative to screen caging if you absolutely feel that screen is important. You can find these in dollar stores and low end department stores. Here are some examples:
