Oldest Chameleon

That also makes me wonder, what the average age for a female veiled chameleon? I might have actually asked this before but I don't remember.
That’s a great question! I’m not sure anyone would really be able to come up with a decent average though…too many with shortened lives due to reproductive problems (even those with great keepers). 😢 Kinyonga said her veiled ladies usually lived to be 6 and even 7 by reducing their egg production. http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/2007/12/keeping-female-veiled.html My sweet Grumpy hadn’t laid eggs since she was 1 year old, but I lost her at age 4 to unknown cancer. Stella has been laying one decent sized clutch every year (except this year) and is about 4 years old now and as feisty as ever. She is my oldest.
