Has anyone who has cared for an older chameleon had issues with behavioural changes? Over the last couple of weeks, my normally very sweet natured Tommy has started turning nasty. He now tries to headbutt me and will charge down the viv to do so. It saddens me as it's like he's forgotten who he is. I am now quite nervous of him, but I don't think he would bite at this stage. I never know which Tommy I will be met with when I open his viv, and that for me is just so sad - it breaks my heart. He used to run down the viv to come out, but sadly, those happy days are gone now.
I really don't want my last memories of him to be of me being scared of him.
Do chams suffer from senile problems at all? Anyone else had experience of somethingsimilar? Tommy has always been a sweet, gentle and very friendly boy and this behaviour reall isn't like him at all. I know a lot of people will think that this type of behaviour is normal, but for us and Tommy it really isn't normal. Any ideas or input would be gratefully received.
